08/16/06 - Fished Misquamicut/Watch Hill Beaches several times this week for good fluke action. Highlight of the week was on Thursday with my 5 year old Jason, who fought and landed a 5.22 lb'r as weighed at Weekapaug Bait and Tackle. He handled it all by himself, with the only assistance from me being holding on to the back of his life vest to keep him from going overboard ! A Big Thanks to Steve Felter for his home tied rigs which have proved to be killers. He is 43" tall , fish was 26". For obvious reasons, my best trip of the season. Tony DeGerlia
08/18/06 - Personal best striper - 28lb., 43" beauty. Mouth of Narrow River on live eels around 9pm - swift moving outgoing tide and current. Bass were slapping around in about 5 feet of water just before the breaking waves on the beach. We were in the boat drifting eels with no added weight. Man it was awesome. not the best pic but it was a cell phone camera with no flash - fish successfully released by the way.
08/25/06 - Ben again in perfect form casting on a monster bluefish blitz.
08/25/06 - Ben with a beautiful striper he nailed just minutes from the dock.
08/25/06 - Patrick Riesenkampff with a nice set of twins- Patrick will be leaving soon for a semester at sea on a tall ship and I think his experience with us may prompt him to bring a fishing rod along!
08/25/06 - Scott Howland with a true “linesider” caught on a recent trip to Block Island. Scott definitely made the web site with that one!
08/25/06 - Local friend Khan with his first striper- he looks like a happy kid!
08/10/06 - Fished South side of Block with tube abd frame last night in unpleasant conditions for full limit of stripers to 40" and many blues. Only managed a couple of hours before we decided to head back home due to swells and east wind chop. Wanted to fish eels but due to weather and inexperienced crew the tube and frame option was obvious and worked surprisingly well. Choppy next couple of days thanks to Beryl, back out early next week. Attached is a pic of me and my boys with a mako I caught on Saturday- It was 80" and according to a length vs/ weight chart I have that puts it over 200 lbs. It was an awesome fight! Robb Roach
09/28/06 - Bill Nolan strikes again.
09/27/06 - Bill Nolan's daughter lands a big one.
