Four hours fight with a very large Thresher. Four experienced anglers handing off the rod and we could not bring him to the boat. Sun was starting to set so it was decided that it was time to bully it in. Fifteen minutes later the 80lb mono pops. A conservative estimate the fish at over 400lbs. Large Makos or Treshers still out there.

A decent Friday night at the mouth of Narrow River. Outgoing tide - the rip really formed at about 7:30pm - multiple stripers - I had a LARGE fish on for several minutes - crossed my buddie's line early on and when I got it close enough - bam! - gone. So mad - I had a great hookup. The rip was so strong on the outgoing tide tonight that it was hard to keep out of each other's way. My buddy had a couple of nice schoolies, and then I hooked into a nice fish again. This time I boated her - 43" - about 21 lbs. Not huge but nice. My buddy got another keeper and we headed in before 10pm. Great "last Friday night" of the season for us. Also kept a couple of nice blues. Nice to keep a couple of fish at the end of the year - Everything caught on eels - picture attached of the larger fish. Dave Sweet
